Our Warranty

1. The Stonnex Labour Warranty

The Stonnex labour warranty covers defects in workmanship on the roofing system we installed. It is provided by Stonnex Construction Ltd., it is transferable once to a subsequent owner of the property on written notice to us, and it begins on the date of substantial completion.

2. What the Labour Warranty Covers

• Water penetration through the roofing system caused by an installation defect
• Fastening, flashing, and detailing defects in the work we performed
• Correction of the defect and repair of the roofing system, at no cost to you

3. What It Does Not Cover

• Damage from events outside the roofing system: wind exceeding the manufacturer's rated speed, hail, fire, falling trees or debris, seismic events, and vandalism
• Damage caused by anyone other than Stonnex or our installation partners working on the roof after completion, including satellite, solar, HVAC, and antenna installers
• Foot traffic and rooftop mechanical equipment installed by others
• Structural movement, settlement, or deck deficiencies concealed at the time of installation and disclosed to you in writing
• Ponding water on flat systems where the existing structure does not provide positive drainage and slope correction was not included in the contracted scope
• Interior finishes, contents, and consequential losses. Our liability is limited to the roofing system itself.
• Any roof where invoiced amounts remain outstanding
• Blocked, overflowing, or unmaintained gutters and drains
• Pre-existing conditions and work performed by others that we did not contract to replace

4. Manufacturer Material Warranties

Materials are covered separately by the manufacturer, not by Stonnex. Manufacturer terms run up to 50 years depending on the product specified. These are limited warranties. They are typically prorated after an initial period, they cover material defects only and not labour, and they carry their own registration and transfer conditions. We register your materials with the manufacturer on completion and provide you the documentation. Claims under a manufacturer warranty are made to the manufacturer. We will help you file one.

5. How to Make a Claim

Contact us in writing at info@stonnex.com or 604-935-6976 with your address, the date of installation, and a description of the issue. We will attend the property to inspect. Do not authorize repairs by another contractor before we have inspected, as doing so voids the labour warranty on the affected area.
