Yes. As a Brava Preferred Contractor we install across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley — West Vancouver and the North Shore, Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, the Tri-Cities, Surrey, Langley and out to Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
Brava is lighter than concrete tile or slate and comparable to cedar, so a straight replacement of a cedar roof is rarely a structural problem. Where it does come up is a house originally built for cedar that has since been re-roofed in something heavier. We check the structure at inspection rather than assuming.
No. We tear off to the deck. That is the only way to inspect the decking, correct any rot, and install the underlayment and flashings the warranty depends on.
Brava shake is moulded from real hand-split cedar and the colour runs through the tile rather than sitting on the surface as a coating. There is a standard range plus custom blends. You can see the current options in the colours section above.
Most residential Brava roofs run about one to two weeks depending on size, pitch and complexity, plus the lead time to get the tile in. We give you a timeline with the quote.
Two separate warranties. Brava provides a 50-year limited warranty on the tile itself, which we register for you. Our own labour warranty on cedar and composite shake is 10 years. See our warranty page for exactly what each one covers.
